How can Diapers 'n Diplomas Help?

"This daycare has helped me spend more time with my children and learn more about the needs of children. This is a place I can talk to and help instead of being looked down on. Thank you for starting this new program!" - Kelli, high school student

"The child care center has enabled me to attend the Grand River Technical School. The daycare providers have encouraged my son to communicate with other children, and his social skills have improved greatly. If it were not for the child care center, I would not have been able to continue my education."  - Chequelia, adult vocational student

ADMISSION
Diapers 'n Diplomas enrolls children ages birth to school entry. Fees are
$20 a day. We only care for children during the school day, and we are open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. M-F during the school year. We now also take students in other programs such as local colleges and cosmetology school, as long as you can fit in with our schedule. Chillicothe School District has priority. Meals and snacks are included in the fees. You may qualify for state paid child care, available through the Division of Family Services, so check with your Division of Family Services for more information.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
It is the belief of Diapers 'n Diplomas that it is our responsibility to assist the child in growing to his or her fullest potential. We seek to provide developmentally appropriate activities which meet the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the individual child. It is our belief that children learn through play; therefore, we provide activities that offer challenge and fun in both group and individual play. We believe also that a loving and nurturing environment is essential to the child's sense of security and self-esteem; so we provide care that is responsive to each child's individual needs.

DAYCARE STAFF
Staff in our daycare facility is Mandy Anderson. She may be reached at 660-646-7604.

PRESCHOOL
We have a Title I/Missouri Preschool Project (MPP) classroom as well as daycare. Our preschool enrollment is based on Dial 3 screenings held at Garrison School each spring. Classes are generally a mix of three- and four-year old children. There is no fee for preschool enrollment, but parents will be asked to provide a minimum of supplies throughout the school year.

We conduct two preschool classes, one is in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the other is from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The preschool teacher is Kerrie Campbell. She may be reached by email or by calling 660-646-7604.

Both daycare and preschool are privileged to have Child Care Services students volunteer in the classroom on a regular basis.

LICENSED AND ACCREDITED
Our facility is licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and is accredited by Missouri Accreditation. Licensing regulations, as well as accreditation standards, are available for parents to view. These guidelines help us set our policies. We encourage parental input and greatly encourage parents to take time to view the standards that help us set our policies.
