Members of the senior community get one-on-one training on computer
use through a partnership between Grand River Technical School and
the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center and Aging Resource Center. The
first class was offered today (Thursday). The training is provided
by students Brandon Dennis’ computer networking technology class
at GRTS and the classes are part part of a cybershop project
involving students Chris Shirk, Laurence Dickson, James Davis and
Jeremy Dowell. The classes, offered at no charge on Tuesday and
Thursday mornings, allow participants to progress at their own level
and according to their own interest. The computers were obtained by
the resource center last year through a grant from the Northwest
Missouri Agency on Aging. Contact 646-5744 for more information.
