Mrs. Bonderer’s first graders enjoyed a fort day as a reward for earning compliments from other teachers. After building forts with blankets, they crawled inside to read books and complete other school work throughout the day.

Space glow art unit - 5th graders making galaxies!
A huge thank you to Mr.Cookinham, assistant band director of Chillicothe R-2, for coming to share his trombone skills with our 3rd graders today. This performance kicks off the book, Trombone Shorty, which will be used next week to teach about biographies, autobiographies and lessons of a story.
Braden, a 4th grader, earned a positive bus referral on Bus 21 for his outstanding manners!
Today, Mrs Schneider's 3rd graders explored fractions greater than one whole on a number line using fun, hands-on edible activities!
Thursday...Dress like a farmer and join the fun as we celebrate the FFA Tractor Parade!
Parents: To ensure a smooth event, please avoid CES from 8:00-9:00 AM.

“Let Your Kind Shine”
Kindness is everywhere at CES! The three recipients of this week's awards were nominated by a teacher or staff member for showing exceptional kindness. They received a sunshine bag and the opportunity to sit in the yellow sunshine chair over the next week to promote kindness throughout CES!
Olivia “Rosie” Standley (Miss Howard’s First Grade Class)
Olivia is always a considerate friend and respectful to her teacher. She works hard at school to help everyone learn! Olivia goes above and beyond to help to keep our classroom and our school clean. She is courteous to other adults in the building and kind to everyone she encounters on the playground. Nice job Olivia letting your kind shine to your classmates.
Tenley Scheib (Mrs. Wolfe’s 3rd Grade Class)
Tenley, without complaining, walks with another student at the end of the day to make sure she gets where she needs to be without getting lost. In the classroom she is a helper for this student and every other student! She is so kind and always helpful to everyone!! Bayler Schneiter is always willing to help my students who are struggling. A kind act I just found out about was he visited a special needs students house at Halloween and asked to see him. When his mom allowed him to come to the door, he gave the kid a great big hug. This act of kindness brought tears to the student's mom. She said no one had ever done that before. He is always kind and compassionate towards this student in class as well. He is just an all around great kid!
