Red Kingdom!

Our CES students are tackling their goals just like champions—making progress, scoring big, and celebrating their own Super Bowl victories along the way!

Let Your Kind Shine”
Kindness is everywhere at CES! The three recipients of this week's awards were nominated by a teacher or staff member for showing exceptional kindness. They received a sunshine bag and the opportunity to sit in the yellow sunshine chair over the next week to promote kindness throughout CES!
Elliott Owens (Miss Book’s First Grade Class)
Elliott can always be found looking for ways to help others. At recess, Elliott spent part of his time trying to push snow off of the turf into the snow pile so that all of his friends could have more room to play.
Gracelynn Ball (Mrs. Schneider’s 3rd Grade)
Gracelynn shines EVERY day she steps foot in CES. She is a very hard worker, even when it's tough. She is on task and a great leader in our classroom! She is helpful and caring to everyone! Her kind smile can brighten the worst day! Keep shining, sweet girl!
Henry Shaw (Mrs. Beck’s 4th Grade Class)
Henry Shaw lets his kindness shine by using manners. He always says please and thank you. He waits patiently when others are talking. He is a great carpet partner and tries his best on his assignments.

Congratulations to our Hornet High Five overall winners! Way to go!

ABCs....Rollin' along in Kindergarten!

CES celebrated the 100th Day of School with a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the building! A special shoutout to Zero the Hero—aka Langston Johnson—for making the day extra special with a surprise visit to our kindergarten and first-grade students!

CES third graders participated in the Letters of Love national philanthropy project, creating heartfelt messages to bring joy and encouragement to children facing long-term hospital stays. Their kindness and creativity are sure to brighten someone’s day!

Some students from the high school leadership class visited our elementary students during lunch to share excitement about Jam the Gym—a fun annual event happening on Friday, February 7th, at 6 PM at CHS. And let’s be honest—who doesn’t love the thrill of tossing a paper airplane for a chance to win a prize? Don’t miss out on the fun!

Today was "Red Carpet/Travis & Taylor Day" for Super Bowl Spirit Week at CES! Tomorrow is "Red Friday" at CES!

After learning about different landforms and types of maps, students in 2nd grade created a physical map showing different types of landforms. Then, they made an edible version to match. So fun and yummy!

Our Chilli MO PTO brought Hornet pride to campus today by opening the Hornet Hive Spirit Shop! Students had the chance to choose from a variety of Hornet gear and accessories, including keychains and bookmarks, thoughtfully crafted by the GRTS marketing class. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Shannon Mason, Chilli MO PTO officer for facilitating this memorable experience. It's a great day to be a HORNET ❤️

Marissa McCracken (Mrs Hayen's Kindergarten)
Marissa always has a smile to share! Marissa always has a smile to share. She loves to help others, especially her teacher friends. Marissa writes notes for all of the kindergarten teachers because she doesn't want anybody to feel left out. Marissa let's her kind shine everyday in kindergarten and makes kindergarten a brighter place for each of us!
Emery Rains (Mrs. Howe’s 2nd Grade)
Emery melts my heart each day. She genuinely cares about each of her classmates and teachers. She always checks in on me to see if I am having a good day and feel OK. She will randomly give me and other teacher's hugs just to brighten our day. She will help ANY student in need that needs help with an assignment, cleaning up a mess, or cheering them up. She also is a mini teacher. She would run my classroom if she could. She does it with care and leadership, just like a real teacher! The students listen to her and look up to her because she is a role model in my classroom. Emery is a true ray of sunshine to so many at CES!
Lilith Jones (Mrs. Dodson’s 4th Grade)
Lilith is constantly offering help to both teachers and students. I have noticed her go out of her way to help someone and not tell anyone about it. She loves to be kind because that is just who she is. She does not do these things for any awards or recognition. I think she deserves this very much!
