
Tickets for "Annie" are still available at Community Press and the high school office for this weekend's performances. Pre-purchasing is highly recommended as seating is limited in the PAC to 180. Show runs approximately 2 hours and is family-friendly.

Gracie Sims - At breakfast, a box of Reese's pieces accidentally tipped over. Gracie saw the box spill and jumped up from another table to pick up the fallen candy. She had the whole mess taken care of before the two boys who caused the incident even noticed.
Carly McMahan - I had stopped in to talk to Mrs. Surber and forgot my stack of copies in my room. Carly tracked me down between classes and got them to me.

The baseball jamboree for this evening at Trenton has been canceled due to heavy rain.

The CHS Senior Breakfast and moms' planning meetings are this Thursday, March 18th and next Thursday, March 25th at 5:30 p.m. in the high school library. There is no need to attend both meetings so please choose the date that works best for you. Sign-up sheets will be available for those willing to help or donate items and monetary contributions will also be accepted.

The baseball jamboree is scheduled for Wednesday, March 17 at Trenton, weather pending.

Congratulations to CHS junior band member, alto-clarinetist Julietta Keller for making the 2021 Missouri All-State Band. This is the third year in a row that Julietta has been an all-state alto-clarinetist. What is even more amazing, this is the third year in a row that Julietta has earned a seat in the first chair. She is the best high school alto-clarinet player in the state for three straight years running! Over 1,000 students auditioned for the band this year.

Congratulations to Kaylee Emerson, Gracelyn Bentley, and Claire Walker, they are the R.A.K.E. award winners for the past few school days. They were identified doing the following -
Kaylee Emerson - Today in math class we played a game of tic-tac-toe. Kaylee won against her partner and received an award from the Hornet Cafe. Kaylee chose an item that she could share with her partner. What a nice gesture and I am sure made the other students day:)
Gracelyn Bentley - A classmate of Grace's was extremely nervous before giving a presentation. Grace told him he could do it and the student told me it gave him the confidence he needed. Way to go, Grace!
Claire Walker - Claire had a free hour because students in her ag class are gone to ag-contest. She offered to help in the office and the library. She has cleaned, put up a bulletin board, and helped Mrs. Prather re-shelve books in the library! Thanks, Claire!
