Homecoming 2025 was a huge success. The community lined Washington Street in downtown Chillicothe for the parade at 2:00 pm, followed by a victory by the football team over St. Joe Lafayette 35-0. Haley Smith and Drake Swift were crowned queen and king during the coronation ceremony after the Hornet victory. Long-time SRO Mike Lewis was this year's Grand Marshall for his many years of protecting and serving the students and staff of the Chillicothe R-II School District. The Homecoming festivities conclude with the CHS student dance from 7-9:00 pm in the CHS commons on Saturday, October 4th.

Congratulations to Lexy Smith and Landen Gardner, they were the R.A.K.E. award winners for the last two days. They were identified as doing the following;
Lexy Smith - A teacher forgot about a bucket of water she was filling, and it started to overflow. Lexy hopped up and turned off the water before the mess got completely out of control.
Landen Gardner - This morning, Landen opened the door for several people entering the school building. As a teacher, this is appreciated because we always have our hands full! Another teacher's headphones for students were all thrown into a box and all tangled together. Landen untangled all of them without being told to do that.
If you see Lexy and Landen, feel free to congratulate them on showing high character.
