2021 Track season wrap up from Coach Ben Coult:
The Chillicothe Middle School Track team finished their season at Warrensburg on Thursday. This is without a doubt the fastest track meet of the year for the Hornets. I am very proud of the team and how they handled that pressure. Multiple athletes ran their best times of the year and had multiple personal bests in the field. The team as a whole stepped up and had a great day. The Girls team won the meet, which is incredibly impressive, and the boys team got 4th place which is also super impressive when considering the competition at Warrensburg. It was a great way to end the season. I also want to say thank you to all the 8th grade track students. They lost their track season last year, but were able to still come in this year and be good leaders for the team and made this year a resounding success. I look forward to seeing their track careers in high school. Lastly, I appreciate all the people who helped out throughout the season; Coach Dickson, Coach Stephens, Coach Cranmer, Michael Creekmore, Abby Smith, Jeannette Johnson, Pam Brobst, all the teachers who helped keep the students up to date with their studies, and all the friends and family who helped the athletes get ready every day. Thank you for a great year.
