Due to a large number of student athletes in quarantine at CMS all activities, INCLUDING PRACTICE, for today, 9/14 & tomorrow, 9/15, are postponed. We will be working to reschedule these activities.

REMINDER FOR SPORTING EVENTS:
Attendance will be limited to immediate family members of the participants (parents, grandparents,
guardians, siblings).
Individual students will not be admitted.
Fans (including any family members that are students) will be expected to sit with their families and maintain social distancing from other fans.
There will be no student section.
Simpson Park will be closed to traffic today, September 8th, 2020, from 3pm to 7pm for the Chillicothe Schools Cross Country Invitational.
Spectators are welcome to park on streets surrounding the park and walk in. Parking is also available at the Parks Department parking lot located on Walnut Street.
Reminder for Football tonight:
Coaches have told the football players to be here to ride the bus to the stadium as a team. 7th grade can stay after or be back by 3:30. We'll try to get them up there around 4. 8th grade can stay or leave and come back by 4 to ride the bus after it drops off 7th and returns.
Fall Sports Pictures have been postponed.
They will now be combined with Winter Sports Pictures on October 22.
CMS 7th-8th grade football optional practice Monday 9/7 on the turf at CHS.
Tennis shoes are fine. No pads needed.
4-5 pm. Pickup/dropoff at the CHS Stadium locker room parking lot.

The middle school cross country meet at Platte County, on September 17, has been cancelled.
The high school meet is still a go.
Cheer practice today & Thursday, after school until 4:30 @ CMS Fieldhouse Commons.

Cross Country at Maryville. Middle School will run after high school races, at 5:45 PM. Bus leaves at 1:20.

Middle School will run after high school races, at 5:45 PM.
Bus leaves at 1:20.
Those students choosing Distance Learning/Virtual are not allowed to participate in Chillicothe R-II
extra-curricular activities on school property. This includes athletics, clubs, and organizations. If an
organization has a virtual meeting, or contest, the student would be eligible to participate.
Fall Sports Updates:
Attendance will be limited to immediate family members of the participants (parents, grandparents,

Face coverings will be required at all indoor events and may be required at outdoor events, subject to
local health guidelines.
Band and dance teams will be allowed to perform and attend home events and their immediate
families will be admitted as well. Band and dance teams will not remain in the event once their
performances have concluded. To minimize the number of fans in the event, families of band and
dance teams are encouraged to attend only the performance of their respective students. There will
be no pep band.
Cheerleaders will be allowed at home and away events and their immediate families will also be
admitted.
When individual athletes are not participating in strenuous activity, a school provided gaiter (face
mask) will be required.
Softball, Volleyball, and Soccer Tournaments have been cancelled.
REMINDER: CMS Softball and Volleyball practice begin MON, AUG 24.
