Congratulations to Chillicothe High School's Jackson Trout, all-state in MSHSAA class 3 boys golf finishing in eighth place overall out of over 90 golfers at the state meet. Jackson shot two great back to back rounds at +1 over par in each round. You probably want him on your team this summer in a local golf game. :) Hornets on Top!

Congratulations to Quenton Greenslate, Maksim Dickerson, Rebecca Slattery, Kayla Martin, Katelyn Wright, Landon Ruppel, they are R.A.K.E. award winners. They were identified as doing the following; Quenton Greenslate and Maksim Dickerson - Both of these students went above and beyond the call of duty at the CHS Double track meet helping with the field events. To quote Coach Darren Smith "It (the field events) do not get done without the help of these boys'" Rebecca Slattery - Becca stayed after class 8th hour and put up all the stools without asking. Kayla Martin -I had a new student today and she was unsure of where to go next. Kayla jumped right up and said, "I can help her." Katelyn Wright - During class time, Katelyn volunteered to help a student work on his vocabulary packet. She said she was caught up with her work and didn't mind working with him to get it completed. Katelyn is always eager to help someone in class when she can! Landon Ruppel- Landon is always kind and helpful. He consistently loans his Chromebook charger to another student when they need one and do not have one. Landon is a great person! A big thank you to all staff who continue to identify the positive in our students and staff showing good character. (Absent yesterday for Student of the Week photo and present at CHS today Elise Reid included) Hornets on Top!
