Computer Networking Technology & Computer Network Administration are programs that are open to Post-High students only. As a student in this program, you will attend six and three-quarter hours per day for nine months to complete the program's 1080 hours of instruction.

Computer Networking Technology:  IT spending worldwide is expected to reach $4.29 trillion in 2022.  That makes this industry a very high and in-demand area for those skilled in the area of IT.

With a heightened security demand and increasing reliance on technology worldwide, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics identifies IT as the fastest-growing sector in the nation’s economy.  These positions range from entry-level jobs in customer support and help desk to more advanced jobs in database administration, network security, and project management.

Computer Network Administration:  Network and computer systems administrators are responsible for the day-to-day operation of computer networks.  And this promising career field is projected to grow four percent by 2029.  The demand for information technology workers is high and will continue to see growth as companies invest in newer, faster, and more up-to-date technology.

The role of the network administrator can vary significantly depending on the size, location, and socio-economic consideration of an organization.  Network administrators are responsible for making sure that computer hardware and network infrastructure related to a company’s data network are effectively maintained.  In companies that are smaller in size and scale, they are typically involved in the procurement of new hardware, the rollout of new software, maintaining disk images for new computer installs, and making sure that licenses are paid for and up-to-date for software that needs it, and more.

This is a 2nd-year course and requires completion of the Computer Networking Technology course for admittance.
