Welding Technology is a program that is open to all high school graduates or equivalent or to juniors and seniors of our sending schools. Those who are juniors and seniors will attend class three hours daily for two years to receive a full certificate. Post-High students will attend six and three-quarter hours per day for nine months to complete the program's 1080 hours of instruction.

Advanced Welding Technology is a program open to Post-High only with a prerequisite of completion of the Industrial Welding program. Post-High students will attend six and a half hours per day for nine months to complete the program's 1080 hours of instruction. The advanced course is designed for students to delve deeper into the different welding and cutting processes as well as help students obtain additional certifications.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that as of May 2021, the nation's median wage for Welders was $45,800-$87,900 dependent upon which career you enter into.

Employment of welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers is projected to grow 8 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 49,200 openings for welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers are projected each year, on average, over the decade according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
